Zoetis Australia Surpasses $1 Mn in Donations to Beyond Blue for Rural Mental Health

MELBOURNE, Australia — Global animal health leader Zoetis has reached a historic milestone in its efforts to support the mental health of regional and rural communities across Australia.

In launching its 11th annual campaign in partnership with the mental health charity Beyond Blue, Zoetis Australia officially announced that its total contributions to the organization have surpassed $1 million since the partnership began in 2016. The initiative directly funds crucial mental health support services for farmers, veterinary professionals, and families living outside of Australia’s major metropolitan hubs.

Why Mental Health in the “Bush” is a Veterinary Priority

Life on regional Australian farms can be incredibly isolating. Farmers and rural veterinarians routinely face immense pressure from unpredictable weather, natural disasters, fluctuating market prices, and physical isolation.

These heavy burdens mean that people living in rural areas face a higher risk of mental health struggles but have significantly less access to support services compared to those in major cities.

“For over a decade, our partnership with Beyond Blue has been about letting the people who grow our food and care for our animals know they are not alone,” Zoetis Australia stated. “Passing the $1 million mark is a testament to the collective support of our local farming and veterinary communities.”

How the 2026 Campaign Works

To build on this milestone, Zoetis is aiming to raise an additional $100,000 by the end of the year:

  • Active Period: The campaign runs from July 15 to October 31, 2026.

  • The Donation: For every purchase of eligible Zoetis livestock, pig, poultry, or companion animal vaccines and parasite treatments, Zoetis will donate $5 directly to Beyond Blue.

  • Direct Support: The funds are funneled directly into Beyond Blue’s 24/7 Support Service, ensuring that anyone in the bush can connect with a trained mental health professional via phone or online chat, completely free of charge.
