Hoomanely Launches EverBowl AI Feeder to Monitor Dog Eating and Drinking Patterns

California-based pet-tech startup Hoomanely has launched EverBowl, an AI-powered feeding station that continuously monitors how dogs eat and drink to help surface early signs of health change.

The device captures eating speed, bite frequency, head posture, water intake, and bowl-visit patterns, using onboard sensors and computer vision to generate daily insights for owners and veterinarians. An 18-month beta involving more than 80 dogs generated over 5 million multimodal data points to train the underlying algorithms.

Hoomanely positions EverBowl as a passive, at-home monitoring tool that can flag subtle changes in appetite, drinking behaviour, and feeding mechanics—often early indicators of metabolic, renal, gastrointestinal, or musculoskeletal issues. The system is designed to complement, not replace, veterinary diagnostics and physical examinations.

The launch reflects growing investor and consumer interest in connected pet devices, remote monitoring, and data-driven preventive care for companion animals. EverBowl joins a widening ecosystem of smart collars, litter boxes, scales, and cameras aimed at extending healthspan and enabling earlier intervention.
