US: Veterinary Dentistry Specialists Adds Cardiology Services at Twin Cities Practice

New veterinary cardiology service in Woodbury, Minnesota, expands specialist heart care for dogs and cats

MINNESOTA, July 14, 2026: Veterinary Dentistry Specialists has expanded its specialist veterinary services by adding outpatient cardiology care at its Twin Cities practice in Woodbury, Minnesota.

The service is led by Dr Michelle Rose, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology), a board-certified veterinary cardiologist. The practice says cardiology appointments are open to pets from the wider community and are not limited to animals receiving dental or oral surgery care.

Heart care for dogs and cats

The new service will assess and manage conditions including heart failure, irregular heart rhythms, heart muscle disease, heart defects and high blood pressure.

Cardiology testing can include heart ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure checks, chest X-rays and heart rhythm monitoring.

Cardiology also supports safer veterinary procedures

The expansion has an added benefit for dental patients with heart problems. Where needed, a veterinary cardiologist can assess a pet’s heart before general anaesthesia, while specialist anaesthesia and dental teams plan the procedure together.

The Twin Cities expansion reflects the growing role of specialist veterinary care in the United States, as practices add dedicated services for complex diseases in dogs and cats.
