PetVivo Holdings (PETV) Terminates VetStem License Agreement to Focus on SPRYNG®

PetVivo Holdings, Inc. (OTCQX: PETV) announced on July 28, 2026 (effective July 24, 2026) that it entered into a formal Termination and Settlement Agreement with VetStem, Inc., resolving all legacy obligations under their prior Exclusive License and Supply Agreement for the PrecisePRP® product line.

Biomedical device developer PetVivo Holdings, Inc. (OTCQX: PETV) announced a strategic realignment following a comprehensive Termination and Settlement Agreement with VetStem, Inc.. The agreement officially concludes the exclusive license and supply relationship for VetStem’s off-the-shelf platelet-rich plasma product line, PrecisePRP®.

The settlement extinguishes legacy financial obligations—including accrued royalties, milestone payments, and outstanding invoices—giving PetVivo improved cost visibility and allowing the company to redirect resources toward its flagship proprietary portfolio.

Executive Perspective: Redirecting Focus to SPRYNG® with OsteoCushion®

The agreement frees management and capital to accelerate commercial adoption of PetVivo’s leading proprietary product, SPRYNG® with OsteoCushion® Technology.

“This agreement represents the successful conclusion of our commercial relationship with VetStem and allows both companies to move forward independently,” stated John Lai, Chief Executive Officer of PetVivo Holdings, Inc. “Most importantly, it enables PetVivo to devote its full attention and resources to advancing our proprietary technologies, including SPRYNG® with OsteoCushion® Technology, while continuing to execute our broader strategic growth initiatives.”

Clinical Impact: What Is SPRYNG® with OsteoCushion®?

Unlike general systemic pain medications, SPRYNG® is a veterinarian-administered, intra-articular micro-scaffold injection:

  • Mechanism of Action: Composed of naturally occurring extracellular matrix components (collagen and elastin), SPRYNG® forms a physical, spongy intra-articular matrix that absorbs joint impact and protects cartilage from mechanical wear.

  • Target Indications: Formulated to manage joint lameness and osteoarthritic degradation in dogs, cats, and horses.

  • Market Advantage: Backed by a strong intellectual property portfolio—including 12 patents and 6 trade secrets—PetVivo holds exclusive proprietary manufacturing rights.

Strategic & Market Implications for Investors

  1. Elimination of Balance Sheet Friction: Removing open-ended royalty and milestone commitments reduces cash burn and provides clear cost visibility.

  2. Sharper Commercial Focus: Sales force and clinical education efforts can now focus 100% on veterinary clinics, equine hospitals, and distribution networks for SPRYNG®.

  3. Intellectual Property Autonomy: By focusing on internally developed biomaterials, PetVivo preserves higher gross profit margins without relying on third-party supply constraints.

PetVivo stock was trading unchanged at USD 0.64 at the close of trading yesterady and the impact of this termination may yet play out when the markets open this Wednesday, 29th of July 2026.
