Pet Service Holding Files €2.07M Legal Claim Against Asklepios Sellers

Pet Service Holding Initiates €2.07 Million Legal Proceedings Against Former Asklepios Sellers

ZAANSTAD, Netherlands — Dutch veterinary healthcare and pet supplies group Pet Service Holding NV (Euronext Growth Paris: ALPET) has formally launched legal recovery proceedings against the sellers and former shareholders of Asklepios B.V., the entity controlling prominent e-commerce platforms such as Pharmacy4Pets. The total sum under litigation amounts to approximately €2.07 million.

Background of the Dispute

Pet Service Holding acquired Asklepios as part of its buy-and-build strategy to capture pan-European market share across online veterinary pharmacies and specialized pet distribution channels. However, subsequent operational reviews and post-closing integration processes revealed significant discrepancies related to historical commercial representations and revenue dependencies.

According to formal disclosures released alongside the group’s H1 2026 financial report:

  • The company is actively pursuing €2.07 million in monetary claims against the former owners.

  • Management emphasizes that these claims represent allegations currently being litigated in legal proceedings and do not represent established judicial findings of fraud or finalized court judgments.

Corporate Restructuring & Litigation Impact

The litigation comes at a pivotal juncture for Pet Service Holding. While the group reported H1 2026 consolidated revenue of €7.364 million (up 4.6% year-over-year), holding-level overhead and legal expenses have dragged net results into a deficit of €908,000

“We are taking all necessary legal steps to protect the interests of Pet Service Holding, our shareholders, and our long-term equity strategy,” stated CEO Ron van Veldhoven regarding the group’s legal posture.

Strategic Significance for Investors

The €2.07 million claim is an important component of Pet Service Holding’s broader capital preservation strategy. If successful, any financial recovery would substantially de-risk the company’s balance sheet as it prepares a €3.5 million to €4.0 million private equity placement and executes debt conversions to reach its long-term revenue target of €50 million by 2029–2030.
