ECO Animal Health Clears USDA Field-Safety for ECOVAXXIN® MS Poultry Vaccine

London, September 17, 2026: ECO Animal Health Group announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Center for Veterinary Biologics (USDA-CVB) has accepted the field-safety data supporting licensure of ECOVAXXIN® MS, its vaccine targeting Mycoplasma synoviae in poultry.

The field-safety programme covered more than 170,000 commercial laying pullets across three sites in Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin. USDA-CVB concluded that the submitted data meets the field-safety requirements supporting product licensure.

ECOVAXXIN® MS is the first product emerging from ECO Animal Health’s proprietary R&D pipeline and was commercially launched in the European Union in July 2026. The company expects U.S. marketing authorisation by the end of 2026.

Industry significance

The milestone moves ECO’s vaccine pipeline closer to the U.S. market and demonstrates progress in shifting the company’s portfolio toward internally developed preventive biologicals. For poultry producers, M. synoviae control is relevant to respiratory disease, eggshell quality and production performance.
