Vivesto Presents Paccal Vet Clinical Data at WSAVA 2026 Targeting Canine Mast Cell Tumors

WARSAW, Poland — October 14, 2026 — Swedish pharmaceutical developer Vivesto AB presented clinical trial data for Paccal Vet® (a water-soluble, nanoparticle-encapsulated formulation of paclitaxel) during day two of the WSAVA World Congress in Warsaw. The scientific session highlighted Paccal Vet’s safety and efficacy profile in dogs suffering from unresectable stage II and III mast cell tumors (MCTs) and squamous cell carcinomas.

Advancing Targeted Canine Chemotherapy

The presentation detailed how Vivesto’s proprietary XR-17 drug delivery technology encapsulates hydrophobic paclitaxel into water-soluble micellar nanoparticles, eliminating the need for toxic Cremophor EL solvents:

  1. Reduced Hypersensitivity Reactions: Allows intravenous paclitaxel administration in canine oncology patients without requiring heavy pre-medication or risk of life-threatening solvent-induced anaphylaxis.

  2. Objective Tumor Regressions: Phase II/III trial readouts demonstrated statistically significant objective response rates (ORR) in dogs with recurrent mast cell tumors, expanding systemic treatment options alongside novel immune-checkpoint inhibitors.
