Elita Launches 24/7 Veterinary Telehealth Platform for Dogs in Australia

Australian pet-health company Elita has launched a 24/7 veterinary telehealth service for dogs through a partnership with VetChat, combining remote veterinary access with longitudinal pet-health data.

The service is being launched in Australia ahead of a planned expansion into the United States.

From Episodic Veterinary Care to Continuous Monitoring

Elita’s platform is built around its Blueprint health ecosystem, which brings together information such as medical history, biological test results and owner-reported changes.

Its Blueprint+ subscription costs approximately AUD$20 per month and includes 24/7 telehealth access. The company is also developing home-testing capabilities through Blueprint360.

Why It Matters

Traditional companion-animal healthcare is primarily episodic:

Symptom → Clinic Visit → Diagnosis → Treatment

The emerging digital-health model is potentially different: Continuous Data → Early Signal → Remote Consultation → Diagnostic Testing → Veterinary Intervention

This is similar to the broader shift occurring in human preventive healthcare.

Business Model

Elita has raised approximately AUD$1.9 million, with investors including Boost VC, Gandel Invest, Artesian’s Female Leaders Fund, Touch Ventures and M8 Ventures.

The model potentially generates recurring revenue rather than relying solely on individual veterinary consultations.

Strategic / Analyst View

This is an important development for the companion-animal sector because the competitive boundary is moving from veterinary clinics alone toward integrated pet-health platforms.

The emerging ecosystem could include:

Wearables + Diagnostics + Biobanking + AI + Telehealth + Veterinary Clinics

For traditional animal-health companies, this could eventually change how products are discovered, recommended and monitored.

For investors, the key question will be whether digital pet-health platforms can demonstrate higher retention, earlier intervention and measurable improvements in veterinary outcomes.
