The four-storey facility, supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), is designed to strengthen Kemin’s scientific capabilities, expand regional operations and accelerate the development of innovative solutions for customers across Asia-Pacific. The foundation-laying ceremony was held on 28 July 2026 and was attended by senior leaders from Kemin, EDB and JTC Corporation.

Major Investment in Asia-Pacific Innovation

The Kuriosity Centre represents one of Kemin’s most significant recent investments in the region. According to the company, the new facility will:

  • Represent an investment of approximately US$35 million

  • Comprise a four-storey purpose-built innovation centre

  • Cover approximately 5,880 square metres with a proposed gross floor area of 9,685 square metres

  • Accommodate more than 140 employees

  • Connect directly to Kemin’s existing Singapore campus through a covered bridge

The integrated campus will bring together research laboratories, technical services, business operations and customer engagement teams under one roof, creating an environment that promotes collaboration and innovation.

Strengthening Animal Nutrition and Health Research

The Kuriosity Centre will play a key role in supporting Kemin’s Animal Nutrition and Health business, which develops specialty ingredients for livestock, poultry, aquaculture and companion animals. By consolidating scientific expertise and regional business functions, the centre is expected to accelerate:

  • Animal nutrition research

  • Feed additive innovation

  • Technical customer support

  • Product development

  • Application science

  • Regional regulatory collaboration

  • Customer training and knowledge sharing

The investment reflects growing demand across Asia-Pacific for advanced nutritional technologies that improve animal health, feed efficiency, productivity and sustainability.

Singapore Reinforces Position as Regional Innovation Hub

Singapore continues to attract multinational companies seeking a strategic base for research, advanced manufacturing and regional headquarters. The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) said Kemin’s investment will strengthen the country’s position as a leading hub for innovative feed and food solutions while expanding high-value specialty ingredient capabilities for the Asia-Pacific region.

JTC Corporation, which supports industrial development in Singapore, also highlighted the project as another example of global companies expanding research and innovation activities within the country.

Building on Nearly Four Decades in Asia-Pacific

Kemin has operated in Asia-Pacific for almost 40 years, with Singapore serving as its regional headquarters for more than three decades.

The new Kuriosity Centre builds on that long-term commitment and is intended to support continued expansion across key markets including:

  • China

  • India

  • Southeast Asia

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

  • Japan

  • South Korea

The facility is expected to create new opportunities for scientific collaboration, talent development and customer engagement as demand for advanced animal nutrition and food technologies continues to grow.

Why It Matters for the Animal Health Industry

The investment highlights several important trends shaping the global animal health sector:

  • Rising investment in regional R&D infrastructure.

  • Increasing demand for science-based feed additives.

  • Greater emphasis on sustainable livestock production.

  • Stronger collaboration between research, technical and commercial teams.

  • Expansion of innovation hubs closer to high-growth markets.

Asia-Pacific remains one of the fastest-growing markets for animal nutrition products, driven by increasing demand for poultry, dairy, aquaculture and companion animal healthcare.

Facilities such as the Kuriosity Centre are expected to accelerate the translation of research into commercially viable technologies that improve animal performance, health and welfare.

About Kemin Industries

Industry Outlook

The groundbreaking of the Kuriosity Centre underscores Kemin’s long-term confidence in the Asia-Pacific market and reinforces Singapore’s growing importance as a regional centre for scientific innovation.

As livestock producers increasingly seek solutions that improve productivity, feed efficiency, animal welfare and environmental sustainability, investments in advanced research infrastructure will become increasingly important.

For the global animal health industry, the new Kuriosity Centre represents more than a construction milestone—it is a strategic investment in the future of science-driven animal nutrition and feed innovation across one of the world’s fastest-growing agricultural regions.
