PetVivo Holdings has strengthened its board with the appointment of Michael Handley and veterinary executive Jaime Pickett, according to company announcements issued September 22.
The appointments add additional animal-health and commercial experience to a company developing injectable biomaterial-based products for veterinary applications.
PetVivo’s portfolio is centred around intra-articular and other injectable therapies, with its veterinary business focused on conditions including osteoarthritis and joint-related disease.
Board-level appointments are increasingly relevant in the emerging veterinary-biomedical sector because smaller companies are moving from product development toward broader commercialisation, regulatory execution and veterinary-market penetration.
The PetVivo appointments therefore provide a modest but useful signal of the industry’s continuing professionalisation, particularly among companies operating between veterinary devices, biologics and specialty therapeutics.
